Azerbaijan Unified Popular Front Party (AUPFP) must get actively involved with the coming municipal elections, AUPFP chairman Gudrat Hasanguliyev said at a party meeting.

Party’s official responsible for preparations to the municipal elections said party’s branches in country’s regions are ready for the elections. He said the list of candidates will be fully approved till September 20. Chief of party’s election headquarters Zohrab Abdullayev reported on work the party should perform prior to the elections. It was decided at the meeting to hold a special session as soon as election campaign is officially launched in an effort to fully approve list of candidates and other related documents which later will be forwarded to the Central Election Commission.
